Visual #6: authentic product

I like to make as many of my own things as possible as long as they can look and function as well as if bought from a store. Most of these things are furniture. This is an example of my bar stools which fulfill a need in my apt. If i put the time into building a piece i try to make it as unique as possible and do not base designs off of products i see. I feel most of my peices are very authenitc, made with my ideas, my hands, and usually on my living room floor.

frustration

what the hell is wrong with people? I have been watching a lot of TED lectures lately and they make you so frustrated with people. We r destroying our planet and not only do most people not care but some actually argue against things like global warming. And people like the coal and oil industry are becoming pathetic...this is a funny comparison

visual response 5. what makes an artist authentic

Literally. I think an artist is authentic as long as he or she really believes in what they are creating, so graphically this is hard to define. And in class I made reference to left brain right brain thinking, and see that what i was comparing did not make any sense for my argument, ha.
